KABUL, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) — Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) backed by NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) detained several suspected militants in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province on Thursday, according to a statement of the allies issued here.

“The joint security force targeted compounds in Maywand district where intelligence indicated militant activity,” the statement said.
