Al-Qaeda in Yemen has denounced allegedly misleading media reports about a spate of arrests in the country, according to an audio message issued on jihad forums.

Mohamed Saied al-Omda, an al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula field commander, claimed that the group has assembed an army of 12,000 fighters to take on security forces.
