Senior Taliban commanders could join a legitimate Afghan government, according to Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Mr Miliband has told Nato’s parliamentary assembly that the “vast majority” of Taliban fighters are not committed to global jihad and could be persuaded to stop fighting.
