RIYADH/DUBAI – New details have emerged concerning the discovery of the weapons stash at an “istiraha” rest house near Riyadh and the arrest of 44 suspected Al-Qaeda members which were announced at the beginning of November.
According to sources, the site in Thadiq in the Al-Safrat region 95km to the northwest of Riyadh is owned by the 70-year-old father of one of the 44 arrested, and was first identified by security officials on Oct. 25.
