BAGHDAD, Nov. 21 (UPI) — Iraqi security forces arrested five suspected members of the al-Qaida in Iraq and the Islamic State of Iraq terrorist groups Saturday, military officials said.

The Iraqi insurgent group Ansar al-Islam has claimed to have executed a police officer who was detained during an ambush operation.
According to a statement, the man was allegedly killed by firing squad near Kirkuk on 17 October.
